As part of its awareness-raising mission, at the start of 2021, Hadopi conducted a study into the practices of professionals in terms of securing their Internet connections against IT risks, including the consumption of paperless cultural objects. 57% of companies and 68% of public authorities consider it necessary to protect themselves against illegal use of their Internet access for counterfeiting purposes. 63% of private-sector companies and 45% of public-sector bodies have implemented at least one awareness-raising measure against illegal use, and almost half of those surveyed know that they are concerned by the supreme authority for the distribution and protection of intellectual property on internet.

A professional organization with an Internet contract is obliged to secure its line to prevent illegal use by its users, and may be subject to a graduated response procedure. Hadopi has signed a partnership agreement with the Association des maires ruraux de France (AMRF) to jointly promote awareness-raising initiatives among local elected representatives and local authority officials, on issues relating to securing Internet access offered by communes and local entities.
