The first part of this study focuses on voice assistants, a feature that modifies human-machine interactions. The second part is devoted to connected loudspeakers integrating a voice assistant, and a study of the French market and consumption patterns for this equipment.

The development of voice assistants and the emergence of connected loudspeakers could change the consumption habits of cultural audio and audiovisual programs, summoning the suppliers of such program supplies to adapt.

The first part of this study looks at voice assistants, a feature that is changing the way humans interact with machines. The second part is devoted to connected loudspeakers integrating a voice assistant, and a study of the French market and consumption patterns for this equipment. Finally, the place of media and go paperless cultural goods in the connected speaker environment is analyzed in the third part, through the strategies of publishers and terminal manufacturers.

To conduct this study, Arcom relied on meetings with industry professionals, analyses of international situations, and qualitative and quantitative research conducted by Ifop and Harris Interactive respectively.
