Damage and power cuts caused by the storm led to difficulties in receiving digital terrestrial television (DTT), as reported on Thursday November 2, in Brittany and Normandy.

On Thursday November 2, 2023, the French National Frequencies Agency (ANFR) announced difficulties with terrestrial TV reception due to storm Ciaran, which swept across the northwest quarter of France on Wednesday night. More than 1.2 million households were without power, according to Enedis, including 780,000 in Brittany. On Friday November 3, five départements remained under the "vigilance orange" (orange weather watch) issued by Météo-France.

DTT broadcasts fromsome thirty transmitters have been interrupted since Thursday.

These disruptions only concern television broadcasting via the terrestrial DTT platform, and not diffusion via box, which is via the Internet.

If you are affected by these disruptions, we advise you to be patient and not to search for and memorize channels, as this could disrupt your TV.
