For the 3rd edition of the "Fête de la Radio", Arcom puts digital radio in the spotlight
The "Fête de la Radio" returns for a third edition on Thursday June 15 and Friday June 16, 2023. Like the first editions, these two days will be an opportunity for radio stations and listeners alike to mobilize and rally around this medium, which occupies a privileged place in the daily lives of the French.
Throughout France, open houses, exhibitions and special programs will be organized to showcase radio and those who help bring it to life every day.
After celebrating the centenary of the first radio broadcasts and the 40th anniversary of the liberation of the FM band, this year DAB+ will be in the spotlight at Arcom, with the aim of bringing the benefits of digital radio to as many people as possible: not only does DAB+ enable a greater plurality of radio industry professionals, it also offers unprecedented sound quality and more comfortable mobile listening.
Following deployment in cities such as Paris, Marseille, Tours and La Roche-sur-Yon, DAB+ will pass the symbolic milestone of covering 50% of the French population this summer. Trials are also underway overseas France.
The "Fête de la radio" website will enable radio stations to present the initiatives they are putting in place for the occasion. Also, to celebrate the Fête together, Arcom is encouraging radio stations and listeners to share on social networks what DAB+ radio has changed in their daily lives, using the hashtag #MaRadioDAB.
Arcom and all the partners of the "Fête de la Radio" are mobilized to make this event a unique moment in 2023.
