Arcom has granted an extension to the amendment to the agreement for Amazon’s Prime Video service

On 6 May 2026, Arcom adopted an amendment to the agreement governing Amazon’s Prime Video service, which sets out the amounts that the service provider must invest in European productions and EOF for the period 2026 to 2028, namely at least €90 million, or €110 million if at least one cinematographic work is made available within 12 months of its cinema release. In the absence of an agreement between the publisher and the professional organisations of the film industry by 31 July 2026, provision is made for this amendment to be terminated automatically, unless the publisher decides otherwise.

As no agreement has yet been reached, Amazon has demanded that the amendment remain in force until 31 December 2026. On 27 July 2026, Arcom granted this extension to allow the publisher and the film industry to continue their discussions.
