Arcom pays tribute to the statement of case by Jean-Pierre Pernaut
It was with great emotion that the Arcom college and its teams learned of the recent death of Jean-Pierre Pernaut, one of France's favorite journalists. He joined TF1 in 1975, and for more than thirty years presented the channel's 1 p.m. news broadcast, to which millions of French people have been loyal over the years.
A lover of the land and its treasures, of France's terroirs, of regional cultures and traditions, and of the concerns of the French people as close to the ground as possible, Jean-Pierre Pernaut left his mark on the history of television with his unmistakable style.
Jean-Pierre Pernaut will be remembered as a journalist with a passion for his profession, greatly appreciated by his teams and loyal viewers.
Arcom extends its deepest sympathy to Jean-Pierre Pernaut's family and friends, and to the TF1 teams.
