It was with great emotion that the Arcom college and its teams learned of the death of Roland Faure, a renowned radio personality and journalist.

A senior reporter with the daily "L'Aurore" from 1954, Roland Faure was its editor-in-chief between 1968 and 1978. A year later, he became Director of News at Radio France. At the head of the Maison ronde as of 1986, he created the all-news radio station France Info, which was launched the following year. Appointed to the French Superior Audiovisual Council in 1989, Roland Faure brought his in-depth knowledge of the media industry to the newly-created regulation body.

Roland Faure will be remembered as a great media professional, whose commitment was praised by his peers. Arcom extends its sincere condolences to Roland Faure's family and friends.
