Arcom welcomes a delegation from its Ukrainian counterpart
From June 2 to 4, 2025, Arcom welcomed members of the National Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine (NCTVRb). This study visit to Paris is part of a European twinning program launched earlier this year with the Ukrainian regulation authority and Arcom's Italian, German and Greek counterparts.
The first working session was devoted to methods for the design and implementation of a strategic project by a media regulation authority in a context of developing technologies and uses with the advent of digital platforms. Work also focused on the fight agains hate speech, plurality and licensing proceedings for television and radio services.
This 18-month twinning project, supported by the European Commission, aims to strengthen the Ukrainian regulator's institutional capacities and support the harmonization of regulation texts and practices in line with European values.
As Martin Ajdari, President of Arcom, emphasized at the opening of the meeting, this cooperation is part of a wider context, that of Europe and France's support for Ukraine, its people and its institutions, which are currently fighting for the values of freedom, sovereignty and democracy. The President of Arcom took the opportunity to reaffirm the institution's total mobilization alongside the Ukrainian authorities, in the fight agains Russia's information war, and in the implementation of European legal sanctions against the latter.
