ARTE Education, a subsidiary of the European cultural channel ARTE, is joining forces with Arcom to promote media and information literacy and digital citizenship, by offering new teaching resources on its Educ'ARTE resource platform, specially designed for French-speaking secondary schools. ARTE Education and Arcom will work with teachers to create turnkey educational resources on topics such as disability, the ecological transition and digital citizenship.

Arcom's educational fact sheets on topics as diverse as freedom of expression and its limits, gender equality, the fight against discrimination, and the challenges of protecting creativity, will be enriched by Educ'ARTE with video extracts. These resources will be available free of charge on the regulation and Educ'ARTE websites.

In addition, Arcom and Educ'ARTE will jointly participate in events such as Press and Media Week in Schools (SPME), held every year in March.

Finally, as of September 2024, ARTE Education will be joining the "Pocket Documentary" project that Arcom has been running for the past nine years, with the aim of raising awareness among schoolchildren of the challenges involved in digital creation. The project will be featured on the Educ'ARTE platform, and ARTE Education will be involved in the development of educational materials for schools.

The complementary expertise of this new partnership is an opportunity to contribute, with reliable content recognized for its editorial quality, to the resources made available to educational staff to reach as many people as possible, anywhere in France.

With this signature, Arcom is pursuing its commitment to media literacy, information literacy and digital citizenship, open and accessible to all publics. ARTE Education, for its part, is contributing to facilitating access to culture and knowledge for youngsters through the deployment of Educ'ARTE in schools in France and abroad, and is positioning Educ'ARTE as a reference resource for media and information education for youngsters in secondary schools.

"This agreement with Educ'ARTE is in line with Arcom's ambitious roadmap for media and information literacy and digital citizenship. I'm delighted that this partnership will enable new audiences to get to grips with subjects as vital as freedom of expression, the fight agains discrimination and digital citizenship, which are everyone's business. Through this partnership, we are helping to instill trust, respect and solidarity in the information and digital space."
Roch-Olivier Maistre, Chairman of Arcom.

"This partnership between two key players in the French audiovisual landscape, ARTE France and Arcom, contributes to the much-needed expansion of awareness raising for media literacy, information literacy and digital citizenship. I'm convinced that Educ'ARTE, by combining a platform of videos from reliable sources and close support for users, is the essential resource for getting to grips with these subjects."
Frédéric Bereyziat, President of ARTE Education.
