Following the call for bidders launched on December 7, 2022, for the production of two national television services to be shown on terrestrial hertzian channels on a full-time, free-to-air basis in high definition, Arcom today adopted the licensing decisions applicable to TF1 and M6.

These ten-year decisions will be effective from May 6, 2023.

They follow the signature by Arcom and the groups concerned of new agreements applicable to the two channels, defining their obligations and commitments.

As such, each of the two channels will continue to offer its viewers a broad and diversified program supply, with a significant emphasis on news. The agreements also include major advances in terms of societal commitments and audience protection, in areas such as media education, digital literacy and citizenship, gender parity, the diversity of French society, program accessibility for people with disabilities, and ecological transition. Last but not least, they reinforce the major role these channels play in financing and diffusing film, audiovisual and musical creation.
