The authorization granted to Canal+, the national program of the Canal+ television service, for its diffusion on digital terrestrial television (DTT) expires on December 5, 2023. Pursuant to the provisions of article 28-1 of the law of September 30, 1986, the French regulatory authority for audiovisual and digital communication (Autorité de régulation de la communication audiovisuel et numérique) issued a decision on June 1, 2022, enabling the renewal of this authorization without a call for applications. This decision mentions the main points of the agreement that the Authority wishes to revise.

In accordance with the law, the Authority will hold a public hearing with representatives of Canal+. Lasting no more than one hour, this hearing will take place on June 30, 2022, as of 3 pm, at the headquarters of the Autorité, 39-43 quai André Citroën, 75015 Paris, and will be broadcast live on the Arcom website.

As part of the same proceedings, the Authority will hear third parties who so request before June 20, 2022. These public hearings, of 30 minutes maximum, will take place on Monday July 4 and Tuesday July 5. Interested third parties may also send their comments to the above-mentioned e-mail address by July 11.
