Apply for trusted flagger status

Article 22 of the Digital Services Regulation (DSR) makes provision for online platform providers to take the necessary steps to ensure that notifications submitted by trusted flaggers, acting in their designated area(s) of expertise, are given priority and adjudicated as quickly as possible.

To obtain trusted flagger status, the applicant organization must meet a number of cumulative criteria set out in article 22 of the RSN:

  • Have specific expertise and competence in the detection, identification and notification of unlawful content;
  • Be independent of any online platform provider;
  • Carry out its notification activities with diligence, accuracy and objectivity.

Organizations based in France can apply to Arcom on the "démarches-simplifiées" platform to obtain trusted flagger status under article 22.
