Catherine Jentile de Canecaude has been a member of the French regulatory authority for audiovisual and digital communication (Arcom) since February 12, 2025, for a six-year term.
Catherine Jentile de Canecaude began her career as a journalist in 1985 with TF1, where she worked as a reporter and then as a senior reporter, specializing in conflict zones.
In 2005, she became head of the London bureau for the TF1 and LCI channels, where she remained until the Brexit period. In 2016, she became head of the Washington bureau and remained there throughout Donald Trump's first term. As of 2021, Catherine Jentile de Canecaude worked as an editorialist on the sets and newscasts of TF1 and LCI.
Throughout her career, she has covered numerous conflicts and major international events. Her work has been rewarded with several distinctions, including the special prize at the Festival international du grand reportage d'actualité et du documentaire de société (1987), the Prix Pierre Mille for all her reporting (1992) and the Prix Albert Londres (1998) for her documentary "Chronique d'une tempête annoncée", produced in Gaza with cameraman Manuel Joachim.
Since 2001, she has been a member of the Prix Albert Londres jury.
Catherine Jentile de Canecaude joined Arcom in February 2025. She chairs Arcom's "Pluralism and ethics in news and programs" working group. She is also vice-president of the "Protection des publics et diversité de la société française" working group.
