Martin Ajdari has been Chairman of Arcom, the French regulatory authority for audiovisual and digital communication, since February 2, 2025, for a six-year term.
A graduate of the École supérieure de commerce de Paris and Sciences Po Paris, and a former student of the École nationale d'administration (René Char class), Martin Ajdari began his career as a civil administrator at the Ministry of the Economy and Finance.
In 1999, he was appointed Administrative and Financial Director of Radio France Internationale (RFI). Between 2000 and 2002, Martin Ajdari was a technical advisor in the cabinets of Laurent Fabius, Minister of the Economy, Finance and Industry, and Florence Parly, Secretary of State for the Budget, before being appointed Head of the Housing Financing Office at the Treasury Department in 2002.
In 2004, Martin Ajdari was appointed Deputy Managing Director of Radio France, then chaired by Jean-Paul Cluzel, before joining the Paris Opera in 2009 as Deputy Director.
In 2010, he joined Groupe France Télévisions, chaired by Rémy Pflimlin, as Deputy Managing Director for Resources, a position he subsequently combined with that of Secretary General.
Martin Ajdari joined the French Ministry of culture and communication in 2014, as cabinet director, successively to Aurélie Filippetti and Fleur Pellerin. He was appointed head of the Ministry's General Directorate for Media and Cultural Industries (DGMIC) in 2015. He returned to the Paris Opera in 2020, as Deputy General Director.
