Romain Laleix has been a member of the French regulatory authority for audiovisual and digital communication (Arcom) since February 2, 2025, for a six-year term.
A graduate of EM Lyon, Romain Laleix began his career in 2005 with NBC Universal Global Networks, before joining the Établissement public du musée d'Orsay et du musée de l'Orangerie as management controller.
In 2011, Romain Laleix joined the French Ministry of culture and communication, in the public audiovisual industry office of the General Directorate of Media and Cultural Industries (DGMIC). He was promoted to deputy head of this office in 2013, then head of the office in 2015.
In 2016, he joined the cabinet of the Minister of Culture and Communication, Audrey Azoulay, as advisor in charge of audiovisual and cinema.
In 2017, Romain Laleix became Secretary General of Bureau Export, an organization dedicated to the international development of the French music industry. In 2018, he acted as rapporteur for the mission de préfiguration du Centre national de la musique (CNM) for MPs Émilie Cariou and Pascal Bois, and in 2019 was appointed vice-chairman of the CNM's operational committee.
As of January 2020, he will assume the role of deputy CEO of the Centre national de la musique (CNM).
Romain Laleix joined Arcom in February 2025. He chairs Arcom's "Radio and Digital Audio" working group. He is also vice-chairman of the "Television and on-demand audiovisual media services" working group.
