Public consultation prior to the launch of an invitation to tender for digital terrestrial television in mainland France
In a press release dated July 27, 2022, the French regulatory authority for audiovisual and digital communication (Autorité de régulation de la communication audiovisuel et numérique) launched a public consultation aimed at preparing the call for bidders that will be launched, with effect from May 5, 2023, in application of article 30-1 of the French law of September 30, 1986, to allocate the terrestrial resources made available when the authorizations granted to TF1 and M6 to show their programs on DTT expire. The deadline for submitting contributions was September 20.
On September 16, 2022, Bouygues, RTL Group, TF1 and the M6 group announced that they were putting an end to the planned merger of the TF1 and M6 groups, announced on May 17, 2021.
In order to give players more time to consider the consequences of this announcement, the Autorité has decided to extend this public consultation until October 10, 2022.

The Authority will publish the contributions received. If these contain elements covered by business secrecy, contributors are invited to submit two versions: one confidential, the other public in which the passages covered by business secrecy are blacked out.
