Laurence Pécaut-Rivolier is a member of the college of the French regulatory authority for audiovisual and digital communication (Arcom). She joined Arcom in January 2022.
A graduate of the École nationale de la magistrature, Laurence Pécaut-Rivolier holds a doctorate in law and is a member of the Social Division of the final court of appeal. She spent over fifteen years as a district judge, with particular responsibility for industrial elections, and was President of the National Association of District Judges from 1999 to 2006. In 2003, Laurence Pécaut-Rivolier was appointed vice-president of the Aubervilliers district court, before joining the final court of appeal in 2006 as referendary counsel to the social division. In 2014, she became Deputy Inspector General of Judicial Services, before joining the final court of appeal again in 2017 as Advisor to the Social Division. Laurence Pécaut-Rivolier was Deputy President of the Commission de la Carte d'Identité des Journalistes Professionnels. She is the author or co-author of several books.
Laurence Pécaut-Rivolier joined Arcom in January 2022. She chairs Arcom's "Protection des publics et diversité de la société française" working group. She is also vice-president of the "Radios and digital audio" working group.
