Les Grandes gueules" show broadcast on October 1, 2024: intervention with RMC and RMC Story

Arcom was alerted to a segment of the program Les Grandes Gueules, entitled "Liban: légitime défense d'Israël ou stratégie du chaos?", broadcast on October 1, 2024 simultaneously on RMC Story and RMC, during which a columnist expressed herself on the subject of the Middle East conflict in polemical terms.

It noted that the comments in question, which lacked restraint in their expression, appeared likely to fuel tensions and antagonisms in the context of a highly sensitive international conflict. It also noted that they had not been sufficiently contradicted or put into perspective by those present on set, reflecting a lack of on-air control.

As a result, the Authority has firmly demanded that in future, service editors strictly ensure compliance with the obligations arising from the November 20, 2013 notice on the treatment of international conflicts, civil wars and terrorist acts by audiovisuel communication services, as well as their agreement.
