The French regulatory authority for audiovisual and digital communication, Arcom, publishes its 2023 financial review of 77 pay-TV channels (including Canal+ channels) edited by 32 companies.
In 2023, sales for all 77 pay-TV channels surveyed came to €2,684.7m, down 6% on 2022 (-€173m), following a 4% increase in 2022. Taken together, these pay-TV channels generated positive operating income of 53.1 M€ in 2023 (9.5 M€ in 2022) and net income of 5.4 M€ (32 M€ in 2022).
