    Most French people have connected their TV to the Internet (84%). The Internet Service Provider TV box is the primary means of connecting the TV to the Internet.

    What type of content is most pirated?






    Illegal use of live sports broadcasts concerned 18% of the French population in 2024. It is based on two modes of access, whose uses can be cumulative: 16% of French people use live streaming sites, while 12% access content illegally via IPTV (using boxes, keys or directly with software).

    How do the French get the most information?






    The French love information. 94% keep themselves informed every day. Television remains their primary means of daily access to information (66%), ahead of radio stations or podcasts (51%), search engines (49%) and social networks (47%).

    What percentage of 12-13 year-old boys visit adult websites each month?






    From the age of 12, more than half of boys visit online porn sites on average every month. 21% of 10-11 year-old boys, 51% of 12-13 year-olds, 59% of 14-15 year-olds and 65% of 16-17 year-olds.

    Where do the French watch the most animation?






    Among children aged 4 to 14, video-on-demand services alone account for over a third (36%) of the time spent watching animation (26% for TV and 19% for YouTube).Almost all the children surveyed (97%) viewed animated works on on-demand services, and 27% of them did so solely via this mode of access.

    Among French people over 15,video-on-demand services have a more regular audience (45 % of viewers use them at least once a week, compared with 40 % for live TV channels ).35 % viewed on YouTube. Nevertheless, television remains theprimary mode of access for French people over 15 (85 %).
