The French regulatory authority for audiovisual and digital communication, Arcom, and the Ministry of Sports are joining forces to mobilize all audiovisual media as part of the "Sport Féminin Toujours" operation, from February 14 to 20.

One of Arcom's missions is to support and anticipate developments in the representation of society in the audiovisuel landscape, in terms of diversity, the rights of women and public health. The Authority is committed to promoting women's sport on French national and local airwaves.

The "Sport Féminin Toujours" campaign encourages the audiovisual media to offer more women's sports programs on their airwaves, more sports broadcasts, as well as more subjects, programs and interviews devoted to women's sports. This campaign is part of the Permanent Conference on Women's Sport initiated in 2017 by the French Ministry of Sports.

In 2022, Arcom is relaunching its annual awareness-raising operation, which runs from February 14 to 20, 2022.

Why this awareness-raising operation?

Media coverage and the promotion of women's sports not only anchor the practice of women's sports in everyday life, but also raise the question of equal representation and gender equality in certain events.

They also contribute to the development of sporting activities by encouraging women, young and old alike, to take up or resume physical activity.

Key figures for women's sport
