As part of their partnership agreement signed in June 2023, the French regulatory authority for audiovisual and digital communication (Arcom) and the Centre national de la musique (CNM) have decided to initiate a joint reflection on the challenges of discovering, exhibiting and editorializing musical works in all their diversity, particularly French-language works, in the audiovisual media and on digital platforms.

The aim is to analyze the professional practices of industry stakeholders in terms of production, promotion and organization of the visibility of artists and their works, with a view to renewing and promoting talent. Arcom and the CNM, whose respective missions are to promote creation and support the diversity of music and variety, will be reporting on the challenges facing audiovisual media and digital platforms, particularly in relation to the deployment of artificial intelligence.

The call for contributions launched today will be supplemented by a series of hearings with all players in the sector, enabling the two institutions to propose an analysis of current challenges and assess the relevance of the managerial framework for public support of the music sector.

The deadline for responses to this public consultation is February 19, 2026, to the following e-mail address: concertationmusique@arcom.fr
