December 2023 marks a major step forward in the deployment of digital terrestrial radio. Between October 2023 and today, 108 new transmitters have been switched on. Residents of Chartres, Compiègne, Dole and Menton can now receive DAB+ radio stations in their homes for the first time. In other cities, such as Lens, Strasbourg, Montbéliard, Clermont-Ferrand and Nice, the DAB+ supply is being enriched with new stations.

After a first phase of national DAB+ antenna deployment in October 2021, listeners will be able to tune in to a wider range of stations. By March 2024, under the provisions of the second phase of deployment, 26 national radio stations[1] will be available to over 60% of the French population. In total, more than 550 radio stations are already shown on DAB+.

Arcom is delighted with the progress of terrestrial digital radio in France, which is enabling more and more listeners to benefit from an expanded supply and improved listen quality.
