    The frequencies allocated to the French regulatory authority for audiovisual and digital communication allow six multiplexes to be shown in mainland France.

    In mainland France, 26 national channels

    Each multiplex contains several channels, which share the same frequency as follows:

    In mainland France, 40 local and regional channels

    As of May 1, 2025, there are 40 local DTT channels in mainland France. All but one of these channels are shown in high definition.

    Public and private channels in overseas France

    • national public channels: France 2, France 3, France 4, France 5, Franceinfo, Arte
    • local public channels from overseas France 1ère, whose name and content are adapted to the communities in which they are shown.
    • up to three private local channels, depending on the region.

    These channels are all shown on the ROM 1 multiplex (except in one community, where a local private channel is shown on a separate frequency).
