TV channels in mainland France are grouped into two categories:
On January 9, 2025, Arcom adopted a new numbering system for national TV channels broadcast on digital terrestrial television (DTT), to take account of the imminent arrival of the new T18 and NOVO19 services, authorized on December 11, and of Canal+'s decision to stop its DTT diffusion.
The tables below show the numbers currently assigned to television services shown on terrestrial channels in mainland France. A table also summarizes the numbering of terrestrial channels in overseas France.
