The cessation of the diffusion of the four Canal Plus Group pay-TV channels on DTT on June 6, 2025 has made radioelectric resources available.

In this context, and in accordance with the law of September 30, 1986 and the Conseil d'Etat's decision of February 19, 2025, Arcom conducted a public consultation from April 30 to June 13, 2025, on the use of radioelectric resources allocated to terrestrial television diffusion in mainland France. The consultation received 40 contributions from a wide range of players, both professionals and private individuals.

The Authority also carried out an impact study to assess the economic situation of the sector. This will help inform Arcom's decision on whether to launch a call for applications immediately or at a later date. This impact study was adopted by the Authority on July 2, 2025 and is published today.

Arcom is also publishing the non-confidential versions of the contributions to the public consultation launched on April 30, 2025.

The Authority will interview third parties who so wish on July 16, 2025. Requests for hearings must be sent no later than noon on July 8, 2025 to the following address etude-impact@arcom.fr.

Third parties wishing to submit written comments on the impact study may send their contributions to Arcom by July 18, 2025, by e-mail to the same address.
