The 2nd edition of the Arcom study on the relationship between the French and information was carried out with a representative sample of 3,377 French people aged 15 and over, enabling detailed analysis by population segment.

The Arcom study reveals that the French are still interested in current affairs, and continue to keep themselves massively informed on a daily basis: 94% declare themselves interested in information and the same proportion keep themselves informed on a daily basis.

Among the diversity of sources browsed, editorialized media remain the benchmark. Free-to-air television and, to a lesser extent, radio remain the preferred media for daily information.

In addition to social networks(4 out of 10 French people use social networks every day for information), conversational AI agents are making inroads into information practices(20% of French people use AI tools for information at least once a week).

Finally, the French are taking a more critical look at the reliability and independence of the media, but still believe in the values of journalism(67% of the French retain confidence in the profession of journalist, which they consider to be the least error-prone source).
