The economic fabric study is an Arcom report designed to take stock of the audiovisual production sector as a whole, and assess its economic health. For this 7th edition, Arcom focused on developments in audiovisual production costs.

Introduction

The first part of this seventh edition of the study on the economic fabric of the audiovisual production industry uses the indicators from previous editions to provide an up-to-date quantitative overview of the audiovisual production sector, based on the monitoring of statistical series.

As in previous years, this study also provides an in-depth look at a specific theme, which is the subject of a second part. This year, Arcom focused on developments in audiovisual production costs. This analysis, conducted in collaboration with the Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée (CNC), is intended to provide a better understanding of cost dynamics over time, as well as the new challenges facing the sector.
