Summary
The "Climate and Resilience Law " mandates Arcom to promote "codes of good conduct", summoned "climate agreements", to encourage more responsible practices in commercial communications.
This fiscal 2024 evaluation report has two components:
Analysis of advertising content
To measure the public's exposure to commercial communications for goods and services that have a negative impact on the environment or are misleading or incompatible with the ecological transition.
Audio and video content analysis
To report on audiovisual media coverage of environmental challenges.

Promoting responsible messages
The majority of professionals comply with the"Sustainable Development" notice, which provides a framework for advertising to avoid greenwashing and promote responsible messages.
Initial findings on YouTube
Thanks to the implementation of the RSN's advertising transparency scheme, Arcom has been able to make some initial observations regarding the advertisements shown on the YouTube platform.
Fewer experts on set
According to channel declarations, the proportion of expert presence on set programs dealing with environmental challenges fell sharply in 2024, from 31% to 18%.
Arcom interventions
Arcom has intervened on three occasions for breaches of the obligation to provide honest and rigorous information, for comments involving climate disinformation.
