Every year during the European Week for the Employment of People with Disabilities, Arcom raises awareness raising in the audiovisual media around the issue of integrating people with disabilities into the workplace.

The 27th European Week for the Employment of People with Disabilities(SEEPH), an operation that helps change the perception of disability in business and society, takes place this year from Monday November 20 to Sunday November 26, 2023. This campaign provides an opportunity to examine the various schemes in place to facilitate the professional integration of people with disabilities.

The French regulatory authority for audiovisual and digital communication, Arcom, works daily to promote the values of equality, inclusion and diversity. The Authority carries out awareness raising initiatives and provides incentives for :

    • the integration and training of disabled people in the audiovisual media,
    • developing the quality ofaccessibility
    • and improving the quality of on-air representation of disability and people with disabilities.

    Operation DuoDay

The aim of DuoDay is simple: on a national day, a company, local authority or association invites a person with disabilities to join forces with a volunteer professional. The day's program includes job discovery, active participation and immersion in the company. The day is an opportunity for people to meet, change their outlook and, together, overcome their prejudices.

    Operation DuoDay

Arcom encourages the audiovisual media to take part in the DuoDay operation, of which it is a partner. For this 27th edition of the SEEPH, Roch-Olivier Maistre, Chairman of Arcom, met seven disabled trainees on Thursday November 23, who were able to discover Arcom, its missions, its role and its different professions.

This year, the Authority's disability advisor is a member of the final jury for the Le Grand Pitch! competition, of which Arcom is once again a partner.
