From July 31 to August 17, 2025, the Ensemble pour le DAB+ association is launching a nationwide campaign on TV and radio stations to promote digital terrestrial radio (DAB+) to the general public and professionals alike. The aim is to make DAB+ the audio reflex of the summer.

Summer is the perfect time to talk about how we use the radio! Vacations, long car journeys, mobile listening... these are all good times to promote the sound quality, program diversity and free service supplied by DAB+.

    How does DAB+ work?

From July 31 to August 17, 2025, the Ensemble pour le DAB+association is launchinga nationwide campaign - TV spots, radio spots, urban billboards and digital relays - to promote digital terrestrial radio (DAB+). The aim is to make as many people as possible aware of the benefits of DAB+, and encourage its adoption in households and vehicles alike.

With coverage now reaching almost 70% of the population, national deployment is entering a decisive phase. This campaign aims to reach a new milestone: anchoring the DAB+ reflex in listening habits.

    Modern radio

DAB+ is much more than a technical development: it's an opportunity to strengthen the plurality of radio stations, broaden the supply and ensure continuity of listening throughout the country, especially in the car.

By accompanying this movement, Arcom is ensuring a smooth transition and informing the public about the benefits of this technology:

    For listeners:

    • Better sound quality
    • Greater continuity of listeners on the move
    • The arrival of new stations
    • Enrichment of the audio stream with associated digital data (information of all kinds, song titles, logos and images such as record sleeves, etc.).

    For radio stations :

    • Pooling of broadcasting costs by grouping stations on the same frequency within a multiplex.
    • Extended coverage in a context of FM band saturation
    • Assurance of survival in the future digital ecosystem, in synergy with 5G mobile networks.
