As part of Article 26 of the law of November 15, 2021 aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of digital technology in France (known as "REEN"), Arcom, in conjunction with Arcep and ADEME, published a notice on September 13, 2023 for television services, on-demand audiovisual media services(SMAD) and video-sharing platforms regarding information for their consumers on the environmental impact linked to the use of their services.
This notice makes provision for the publication by Arcom in 2025 of an assessment of the degree of commitment of the players concerned. It also makes provision for the departments concerned to inform Arcom each year, by March 31 at the latest, of the actions they have taken to implement the scheme. This information is backed up by quantified indicators designed to report on the effectiveness of the measures put in place and, where appropriate, the improvements envisaged.
Responses to this questionnaire will be used to produce an evaluation report on the implementation of the notice , which will be published on the Arcom website.
In this context, the departments concerned are invited to respond to the questionnaire below , covering the year 2024.
