    The 19th edition of the Francophonie Summit, in Paris and Villers-Cotterêts on October 4 and 5, 2024, saw the "Appel de Villers-Cotterêts" summon cooperation between governments, civil society and online platforms.

    On October 4 and 5, 2024, France will host the 19th Francophonie Summit, bringing together the 88 member states of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie(OIF) in Paris and at the Cité internationale de la langue française in Villers-Cotterêts.

    The theme of this year's event is: "Create, innovate and undertake in French".

    Arcom maintains close bilateral relations with its foreign counterparts. The Authority is a member of the European Platform of Regulatory Authorities (EPRA), the Réseau des instances de régulation méditerranéennes (RIRM) and the Réseau francophone des régulateurs des médias (REFRAM).

    Arcom Chairman Roch-Olivier Maistre has chaired the Réseau francophone des régulateurs des médias (REFRAM) since the network's 7th conference in 2022. REFRAM is a manager for exchanges and cooperation between French-speaking audiovisuel regulators. Created in Ouagadougou on July 1, 2007, the Network aims to strengthen solidarity and sharing between 31 member institutions from Africa, North America and Europe.

    Arcom's authority to defend and promote the French language derives from various legal texts, which require it to monitor the use of French in all programs and advertising messages, with the exception of cinematographic and audiovisual works in the original version.

    Arcom has been taking part in the Journées de la langue française dans les médias audiovisuels as part of the Semaine de la langue française et de la Francophonie since 2015. The aim of this event is to give the audiovisual media the opportunity to demonstrate their mobilization in favor of the French language.
