Fête de la radio 2024, ask for the program!
Initiated in 2021 by Arcom, the "Fête de la radio" is an opportunity for radio stations and listeners to mobilize and rally around this medium, which occupies a privileged place in the daily lives of the French.
The fourth "Fête de la Radio" takes place in mainland and overseas France on Thursday June 6 and Friday June 7, 2024. The event is coordinated by l'Association pour la Fête de la Radio (Association for the Radio Festival), under an agreement with Arcom.

The Radio White Paper
In mid-June, Arcom will publish its White Paper on Radio. This document has several objectives:
- to provide an objective, well-documented assessment of the state of radio in France,
- clarify the needs and expectations of industry stakeholders,
- offer a shared vision of the future of radio in France,
- to propose a pathway to a modernised model for the medium, in particular the conditions for its transition from FM to DAB+ diffusion, and to identify the risks, difficulties and prerequisites for achieving it.
Modernising radio: deployment of digital terrestrial radio or DAB+.
DAB+ radio (Digital Audio Broadcasting, the "+" corresponds to a development in the global terrestrial digital radio (DTR) diffusion norms) complements FM diffusion, whose frequency band is now saturated. Every year, new transmitters are put into service to ensure ever finer coverage of the French territory. From March 2024, 26 national radio stations will be available to more than 60% of the French population. In total, more than 550 radio stations are already shown on DAB+.
Arcom's Ma Radio DAB Plus service is regularly updated by our teams, as DAB+ technology is rolled out across the country. You can browse the interactive map below. Once you've entered your desired location (by department, then by town), you'll find out which digital radios are currently available in your area.
