    Political plurality

    Voters were summoned to the polls twice in 2024. The first time, on June 9, 2024, for the election of France'seighty-one representatives to the European Parliament. The second time, on June 30 and July 7, 2024, to renew the French National Assembly.

    Following these elections, in July 2024, Arcom published a deliberation on respect for the principle of plurality of currents of thought and opinion.

    Arcom guarantees compliance with obligations to broadcast or exhibit audiovisual and cinematographic works, and with service editors' investment in production.

    Digital terrestrial television (DTT)

    On February 28, 2024, in view of the expiry of the licenses for fifteen services in 2025, Arcom launched a summon to applications for the production of national, full-time, high-definition DTT services.

    24 candidates, whose applications were declared admissible, were received for a public hearing from July 8 to 17.

    Discover the institution

    Arcom is the French regulatory authority for audiovisual and digital communication. It guarantees freedom of communication and oversees the financing of audiovisual creation and the protection of rights. Its regulation extends to online platforms such as social networks and search engines.
